Master of Business and Project Management (MBPM)
WHO CAN UNDERTAKE THE TRAINING?
- For Domestic Students:
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Engineering OR
- Bachelor Degree, or equivalent higher education qualification, with one year of relevant vocational practice in an engineering-related role OR
- Relevant Certificate III or Certificate IV with significant vocational practice in an engineering-related role.
- For International Students:Students are required to meet the following entry requirements:
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Engineering OR
- Bachelor Degree, or equivalent higher education qualification, with one year of relevant vocational practice in an engineering-related role
- Applicant must be 18 years of age or older
- An IELTS score of 5.5 or PTE Academic Score of 45.4 (or equivalent English Language Testing Score) is required for International students entering into this program*
- Applicants might be asked to take an AIE English Placement Test
- Students must successfully complete a LLN test to confirm the ability to effectively undertake the course
- This program has been designed to be delivered through classroom-based delivery and students must have the ability to attend the scheduled sessions as per the timetable and allocate some self-study time.
- Students will be required to have access to a computer (or laptop) with internet connection for self-study purposes.
*Note: Exception on English Requirement for international students
Applicant who is a citizen and holds a passport from UK, USA, Canada (excluding French province), NZ or Republic of Ireland, will not be required to present any English evidence as part of application with AIE.
RPL PROCESS
Our expert team will carefully assess your experience including past qualifications, relevant skills, and industry knowledge. Information about your knowledge and experience will be aligned to the relevant components of the qualification. You will receive recognition for the units or modules in which you have demonstrated either competency or similarity of learning outcomes, and you will only need to complete any remaining units to receive the qualification.
RPL COSTS
The cost for RPL in a VET course will vary depending on the number of units of competency you successfully gain recognition for, the fee structure of the course and any assessment or training required. You will be provided with an approximate cost for your unique situation when you apply.

To apply for RPL simply submit an enquiry so we can provide you with the appropriate application form. Along with this form you will also need to supply any relevant documentation that supports your application including existing qualifications and evidence of your previous roles.

JOB ROLES/EMPLOYMENT OUTCOME
The MEM80112 Graduate Diploma of Engineering provides the skills and knowledge for people performing the role of a Principal Technical Officer or equivalent in a range of engineering disciplines. Job roles related to this qualification may include engineering leadership roles, project planning, product development, research and development, project management, operations management, engineering related design and other engineering related technical roles requiring the exercising of engineering related skills of a complex and sophisticated nature or skills in a particular field of technical work.
The MEM80112 Graduate Diploma of Engineering qualification satisfies the requirements for employment as a Principal Technical Officer under relevant Awards and Agreements. Individuals seeking further information on the relationship of this qualification to the Principal Technical Officer classification should seek advice from their relevant industrial organization.
CREDIT TRANSFER
Australian Institute Of Engineering as a Registered Training Organisation recognises the Australian Qualifications Framework qualifications and Statement of Attainments issued by any other Australian Registered Training Organisation.
Students are encouraged to submit any requests for credit from previous studies at the time of enrolment, to ensure they are not enrolling in units they may not need to undertake.
In order to apply for exemption/credit transfer from units completed at another training organisation, you will need to complete an Application for credit transfer Form available from AIE campus, or team, or a copy of the form can be obtained from AIE Website.
Your completed Application for credit transfer form together with attached documentary evidence (certified copy of Qualification/Statement of Attainment) to support your request for exemption/credit transfer should be submitted directly to AIE either in person or by email. Requests without documentary evidence will not be processed and will be returned to students. There are no fees attached to Credit Transfers.
EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS

WHAT IS THE COURSE DURATION?
Total Duration: 104 weeks which includes 400 work component hours.
HOW DO I ENROL?
Your part in the enrolment process is triggered by you completing an Application Form to study with Australian Institute of Engineering.
To apply and enrol in this course with Australian Institute of Engineering you will be required to complete the following steps:
Read and understand the information contained in this course brochure and the Student Information Handbook.
Complete and sign the Application Form to declare that you understand all of the information provided and confirm your interest in the selected course. This will include providing a range of information and documents to support your application.
Return the Application Form to Australian Institute of Engineering.
You will then receive a Letter of Offer and Written Agreement confirming your enrolment details which must be signed and returned to confirm your enrolment with Australian Institute of Engineering.
Undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy test and Pre Training Review (PTR) at Australian Institute of Engineering prior to your commencement of the course.
