Trapti Rani Tyagi
Director
- Trapti Rani Tyagi is the Director of the Australian Institute of Engineering, providing strategic leadership and academic oversight to ensure excellence in vocational education and training. She holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110), a Bachelor of Education, a Master of Biotechnology, and a Bachelor of Biotechnology. Her international qualifications have been assessed as comparable to Australian Bachelor and Master degree standards.
- With a strong academic and research background, Trapti previously worked as an Assistant Professor in Biotechnology, where she conducted practical laboratory sessions, delivered lectures, supervised student research projects, and organised seminars and workshops. Her experience in higher education has built a solid foundation in curriculum development, academic governance, and student engagement.
- As Director, she oversees compliance, training quality, and organisational development. She works closely with trainers, administrative teams, and industry partners to maintain high academic standards and regulatory compliance.
- Trapti’s leadership is focused on continuous improvement, strong governance, and delivering industry-relevant training that prepares students for successful careers in engineering and related fields.
Sam Tyagi
Chief Executive Officer
- Shubhneetkumar (Sam) Tyagi is an accomplished engineering professional, education leader, and automation specialist with over 15 years of experience across vocational education, advanced manufacturing, metallurgy, and robotics.
- As Chief Executive Officer of Australian Institute of Engineering Pty Ltd, Sam provides strategic leadership while ensuring full compliance with ASQA Standards for RTOs 2015 and the ESOS National Code 2018.
- He is committed to delivering high-quality, industry-aligned training that equips students with practical skills for global engineering careers.
- Sam holds a Graduate Certificate in Adult and Vocational Education from Charles Sturt University and an MBA from RMIT University, along with advanced qualifications in engineering and vocational training. His technical expertise includes welding, fabrication, metallurgy, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
- He is also the Founder and Director of The Robot Doctor Pty Ltd, specialising in welding automation and robotics solutions, strengthening the connection between industry innovation and education.

Brett Ambrosio
Executive Director of Education
- Brett Ambrosio is a highly accomplished vocational education leader with over 19 years of executive experience across the Australian VET sector. As Executive Director of Education at Australian Institute of Engineering, Brett provides strategic oversight of national apprentice and trainee programs, industry engagement, compliance, and quality assurance.
- A recognised leader in training excellence, Brett played a key role in AIE winning the Victoria Training Award and securing a Bronze Medal at the Australian Training Awards in the Small Training Provider category. His expertise spans large-scale operational management, workforce optimisation, stakeholder engagement, and multi-million-dollar infrastructure development projects.
- Prior to joining AIE, Brett held senior executive roles at Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE, where he managed operational budgets exceeding $30 million and led major trade training centre expansions across Victoria.
- Brett is passionate about strengthening industry partnerships, driving innovation in engineering education, and ensuring students receive high-quality, future-focused training. His leadership combines strategic vision with operational excellence, positioning AIE as a training organisation of choice nationwide.
Neelam Sangtani
Director of Academic Partnerships
- Neelam Sangtani serves as Director of Academic Partnerships, bringing strong leadership experience in higher education management and business development. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and has built an impressive career across academic counselling, institutional growth, and strategic operations.
- Neelam previously worked as a Senior Academic Counsellor at Gujarat University, where she guided students on academic planning, career pathways, and program selection. Her role required strong communication skills, structured advisory systems, and a deep understanding of university frameworks.
- She also served as Business Head at CVM University, where she managed institutional development initiatives, strengthened partnerships, and supported operational planning. In addition, her experience as a General Manager involved overseeing overall business development strategies and operational performance, ensuring sustainable growth and efficiency.
- At the institute, Neelam focuses on building strong academic collaborations, industry connections, and strategic alliances. Her leadership supports expansion opportunities, partnership development, and long-term institutional growth aligned with quality education and professional excellence.
Akshit Tyagi
Marketing Head, Asia Pacific
- Akshit Tyagi serves as the Marketing Head for the Asia Pacific region, leading strategic marketing initiatives and regional brand development. He is responsible for driving market expansion, strengthening institutional presence, and building strong industry and academic networks across the region.
- With a results-focused approach, Akshit develops and implements marketing strategies that align with organisational growth objectives. His role includes overseeing digital campaigns, partnership promotions, brand positioning, and market research to identify emerging opportunities within the education and training sector.
- Akshit works closely with academic leaders, corporate partners, and international stakeholders to promote programs and create strong engagement channels. His leadership ensures consistent brand messaging, improved market visibility, and sustainable regional growth.
- Through data-driven decision-making and innovative marketing practices, Akshit plays a key role in expanding the organisation’s footprint across Asia Pacific, strengthening partnerships, and supporting long-term strategic development.
Keshav Rathod
IT Officer
- Keshav Rathod serves as the IT Officer, supporting the organisation’s digital infrastructure and technology systems. He plays a key role in maintaining smooth IT operations, ensuring system reliability, and supporting both academic and administrative teams with technical solutions.
- Keshav manages the Learning Management System (LMS), internal databases, and network systems to ensure secure and efficient performance. He assists with system updates, user access management, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining data integrity. His role also includes supporting online learning platforms, digital tools, and internal software used for training and compliance purposes.
- With strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, Keshav ensures minimal downtime and quick resolution of technical challenges. He works closely with different departments to implement improvements in digital processes and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Through his proactive approach and technical expertise, Keshav contributes significantly to maintaining a secure, reliable, and modern IT environment that supports quality education and organisational growth.
Adrian Tolentino
Campus Coordinator | Trainer & Assessor
- Adrian Tolentino is an experienced engineering educator and welding specialist with a strong background in fabrication, quality assurance, and vocational training. As Campus Coordinator and Trainer & Assessor at Australian Institute of Engineering, Adrian plays a key leadership role in delivering high-quality welding and fabrication training while ensuring operational excellence and student support.
- Holding a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Adrian combines technical expertise with strong instructional capability. He has extensive hands-on experience across multiple welding processes including MMAW, GTAW, FCAW, oxy-acetylene, and plasma cutting, working with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
- Adrian is committed to maintaining high training standards aligned with AQF requirements, continuously improving assessment systems, and fostering a safe, well-organised workshop environment. With previous experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, he brings strong attention to detail, compliance awareness, and a results-driven mindset.

Goma Sharma
Student Support Coordinator
- Goma Sharma is an experienced student services professional with a strong background in international education and administrative coordination. At the Australian Institute of Engineering, she works as a Student Support Coordinator, playing a vital role in guiding students throughout their academic journey.
- Goma is responsible for conducting student orientations, monitoring attendance and course progress, maintaining accurate student records, and auditing academic files prior to certificate issuance. She ensures compliance with the ESOS Act 2000, National Code 2018, and AVETMISS reporting requirements, maintaining high regulatory standards within the organisation.

Lata Basneth
Student Support Officer

- Lata assists students with enquiries, supports day-to-day operations, and works closely with different departments to ensure a smooth and positive learning experience. She manages student ID card preparation, oversees inventory orders, and contributes to facilities management to maintain an organised and functional campus environment.
- In addition, Lata plays a key role in designing and managing social media content that promotes student activities, institute achievements, and course offerings. Her creative and communication skills help strengthen student engagement and institutional visibility.

Riddhi Sarvaiya
Apprenticeship Support Officer
- Riddhi Sarvaiya is a dedicated Apprenticeship Support Officer at the Australian Institute of Engineering, committed to delivering structured and reliable support to apprentices and students.
